Chip Jermy is a Claims Examiner and Adjuster. He joined McNeil & Company in January 2004 and has been in his current position for over 20 years, including tenure as a Business Analyst focused on Claims-related data and finances. With previous experience in a full spectrum of vehicle, property, and liability claims, his current focus is with vehicles and motorized apparatus, specifically heavy and specialty vehicles, and emergency service provider equipment. He holds an associate's degree in business administration from Tompkins-Cortland Community College, and a bachelor's degree in Applied Economics and Management from the Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management at Cornell University. He also holds three insurance designations focusing on claims and risk management. Beyond college and work, Chip has over 20 years of experience in leadership and board roles with local history and non-profit organizations, focusing on development and strategic planning.

Bethany Goodman joined McNeil & Co. in 2003 and currently serves as VP of Human Resources. Her first 3 years at McNeil were spent in the underwriting department where she held multiple positions before transferring over to the HR department in 2006. Bethany is responsible for leading the organization’s talent and human resources strategies. She handles the recruitment, onboarding, performance management, benefits administration, wellness and the development of policies and procedures. She graduated from SUNY Canton with an Associate’s degree in Retail Business Management and went on to graduate from Le Moyne College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Bill Dixon currently serves as Regional Vice President of Marketing for the Western and Southeastern parts of the US. He leads a team of 7 Territory Sales Managers. He has been with McNeil & Company since 1995 and has filled a variety of positions in the Sales/Marketing Department. Prior to McNeil & Company, Bill was the VP Marketing for Ernstrom & Hefferon Insurance Agency in Binghamton NY where he managed over 450 agencies for Program Business. Jeff Chitambar graduated from Ithaca College in 2005 with honors as a Computer Science major. He joined McNeil & Co. as a software developer in 2005, eventually taking on roles as Director of IT and Chief Information Officer. Jeff is charter member of the Ithaca College chapter of Upsilon Pi Epsilon, the National Computer Science Honor Society and currently sits on the Data Analytics Advisory Board for Le Moyne.

Maggie Brown is a Claims Supervisor as of April 2024. She joined McNeil & Company in 2018 and was a Property Claims Specialist for 5.5 years, prior to her current position. She specialized in the handling of first party commercial property claims and catastrophic property losses. Maggie earned a Bachelors degree in Communications with a concentration in Journalism from Le Moyne College in 2016 and a Masters degree in Business Administration from the Madden School of Business at Le Moyne College in 2022. Casey King joined McNeil & Company in 2009 as a cum laude graduate of Binghamton University, where he earned a B.S. in Business Management with a concentration in Finance. He spent the first twelve years of his career working in the underwriting department, holding positions as a Policy Analyst, Underwriting Assistant, Commercial Lines Underwriter and Underwriting Supervisor. Casey transitioned to a role in the compliance department in 2021. As a Compliance Analyst, he is responsible for conducting audits and training to ensure compliance with state insurance regulations. He also assists with form and rate maintenance, product development, and the development of policies and procedures. David Holland serves as VP of Finance of McNeil & Co., a position held since 2020. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in New York. Prior to his current role, he has spent time in public accounting and various corporate finance positions. Stephanie Rothery is a Risk Management Supervisor with McNeil & Co. Stephanie has been with the company for 10 years and currently oversees the Safety team in the Risk Management Department by helping our insureds identify loss exposures and reducing risk. Stephanie’s background did not start with Insurance but rather in Emergency Services which is where her Risk Management background stems from. Stephanie graduated with a Fire Protection Technology degree and spent several years as a volunteer Firefighter/EMT with her local Fire Department. Dave Snyder is a Risk Management Program Specialist with McNeil & Company. Dave has a very diverse background including being a past business owner of a grounds-keeping operations including a full-service garden center and gift shop, managing a staff of 15 to service commercial and residential accounts in his community. Dave also worked in the construction industry in his early years doing demolition and renovations on various commercial projects. One of Dave’s key values has always been that of giving back to the community. Dave has been a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) For 30 years, Past Chief of SOMAC Ambulance in Hamilton, NY and currently volunteers as a Captain with the Eaton Fire District. For the last 8 years as a Program Specialist with McNeil & Co. Dave has been tasked with working hands on with clients in the field to identify loss hazards and offer recommendations for risk reduction. Dave has also spent this time as an educator speaking on varying topics to help promote a culture of safety in the industries he serves.

Nick Franklin has been one of our ESIP Underwriters since July 2021. He joined McNeil and Company in March 2019 as a Policy Analyst and was soon promoted to Underwriting Assistant. Kaitlyn Lundberg began her career at McNeil & Co. in October 2015 as a Policy Analyst in our Underwriting Department. Mariana Kosarieva is a new addition to the Risk Management Team. Prior to joining the Risk Management team, Mariana lived and worked in Ukraine, where she held a director position in the transportation industry. As she stepped into the Risk Management position, she used her presentation and design skills to help her with her responsibilities in her new role. Mariana, while not having any prior insurance experience, lives each day proving to others that you can do whatever you put your mind to and overcome any challenge.

Hilary Thornton is an Underwriting Training Specialist for McNeil & Company as of October 2024. In this role she works closely with our Underwriting Assistants to provide instruction and development for their daily job tasks including preparing, rating, and setting up renewal and new business accounts for issuance in the AdvenSure program. Hilary began her career at McNeil & Company in November of 2022 as an Underwriting Administrative Associate. As an Admin Associate, she collaborated with the underwriting team and agents to process new business applications and loss runs. She also developed many training resources for the Administration Unit Team. Hilary served as an Endorsement Specialist for McNeil from August of 2023 to October of 2024 where she analyzed and completed endorsement requests from brokers to make changes to insurance policies for the ESIP program. Prior to working for McNeil, Hilary earned a bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science in 2017, and a Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences 2020, both from SUNY Cortland. She also worked as a speech-language pathologist at multiple local schools. Additionally, Hilary participates in many local community initiatives including Puzzle Solver’s Autism awareness/advocacy organization, and serves as chair to the advisory board for the Salvation Army of Cortland.

Marvin Etheridge is the Vice President of Information Technology at McNeil & Co., a role he has held since 2022. With over 28 years of experience in the insurance and insurance technology space, he started his career as a data specialist in an underwriting unit for an MGA, quickly discovering his passion for technology within the industry. He spent 23.5 years at an insurance solutions startup that acquired an enterprise software solution for MGA’s, taking on a variety of roles including customer product support, product implementations, director of all solution services, and senior product manager. His extensive background gives him a unique perspective on the intersection of insurance and technology, helping to drive innovation and efficiency here at McNeil & Co. Ryan Hines is a claims adjuster with McNeil and started this position in June 2023. He is a multi-line adjuster with a focus in transportation claims. Ryan earned bachelor’s degree in business majoring in Risk Management and Insurance with a minor in Sales from SUNY Oswego in 2022. While he attended SUNY Oswego the major was first offered starting in 2020 and he was part of the first graduating class in their RMI program. After about two years, she moved into a Team Lead Role managing the Policy Analysts. Eventually, she was looking for more of a challenge and moved into an Underwriting Assistant Team Lead Role and then into her role now. Sarah earned a Bachelors degree in Sociology from Binghamton University in 2016. She loves outdoors activities such as hiking so the AdvenSure program is a perfect fit for her.
